First off, a quick recap: When the No. 1/60 and No. 1/65 kits came in, we found during QC a number of kits that had anodizing issues that would qualify it as b-stock. We sold some of these b-stock kits with very minor issues in February, but wanted to use the remaining kits as an opportunity to look into Cerakote, a durable and thin ceramic finish that could be applied to these boards to fix the anodizing issues.
For the last month or so, we've been working with and trialing local Cerakote applicators, trying to find a combination of price and quality that works for us. After a couple of failed attempts, we've found a partner for this and will be sending off the remaining parts to be coated. In all likelihood, it will be at least two weeks before they are ready to be sold. Like the b-stock sale in February, these remaining kits will be sold in a raffle. We'll send out an email announcing the time of the sale and the available kits/colors once we have a concrete date, so be sure to sign up for email updates if you don't want to miss it.
If the b-stock sale in February was any indication, it's also very likely that there will be way more interest than available kits, so please set your expectations accordingly. There will be two 65% and six 60% kits available.
