The No. 2/65 is the first keyboard kit manufactured in-house in the Keycult Workshop and finished/anodized in the USA. This kit represents over a year of design and planning and more than six months of manufacturing refinement. Kits will be sold in batches released roughly once a month.

Kit Specifications:
  • 65% Form Factor
  • 8° Typing angle
  • Three part "hidden screw" construction
  • Isolated gasket sandwich mount
  • PTFE plate-alignment pins
  • Leaf spring switchplate
  • PCB compatibility: VIA-compatible WT65-A (solderable) and WT65-H1 (hotswap) with USB-C daughterboard designed by Wilba
  • Kit includes chassis, aluminum plate, vibration-damping gaskets, custom-molded bumpon feet, case screws, hex drives, and PTFE alignment pins

Cost and addons:
  • Black and Red Unfinished Edition: $525 (B-Stock $475)-- does not include a PCB so people have the option between hotswap and solderable without having to purchase both.
    • What is an "unfinish": We have been experimenting with showcasing machine marks on parts, and have landed on a method we are excited about. The bottom plate of this case has a slight gloss, and is slightly textured from the machine marks. This part has been anodized red.
    • Includes red anodized aluminum plate.
  • PCBs
    • Solderable: $65
    • Hotswap: $75
  • Additional Plates
    • Brass: $50
Notes:
  • Second batch will be sold through raffle.keycult.com on Monday, March 8th.
  • Due to limited initial supply, only a single extra brass plate and hotswap PCB will be available per order
  • B-Stock examples
